The Vision:

We strive to know Jesus Christ and hold his Holy Spirit in us so that our lives may truly be His and we may be inspired to tell His good news in our deeds and words.  Our parish supports us in this effort by training us and those who do not yet know Christ in the faith and for mission.  This will bring each of us to know and love and serve the Lord in this life so that we may be happy with Him in the next.

The Mass is nothing short of amazing….

Through it, we encounter God in the most intimate way possible as we hear him speak to us in the Liturgy of the Word and as we receive him Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity in the Holy Eucharist.

In this video-based study A Biblical Walk Through the Mass, Dr. Edward Sri explores the roots of the words and gestures we experience at Mass and explains their profound significance. This fascinating tour of the Mass will renew your faith and deepen your love for and devotion to the Holy Eucharist.

Sessions begin at Our Lady of Sorrows in Monroe Thursday evening October 3 from 7:00 to 8:30 pm and continue for 5 Thursdays (we will skip Halloween on October 31). We will start Evening Prayer at about 6:45 pm if you want to experience this form of the Prayer of the Church.

Although this study is focused on Catholic doctrine and teaching related to the Mass, everyone - Catholic or non-Catholic - is welcome. We encourage you to invite friends to come with you.

For each participant workbook needed, bring $25 cash or a check payable to Our Lady of Sorrows to the first meeting on Thursday, October 3rd at 7:00 pm in the Parish Hall.
